Listening: The Casual Dots; Moss Icon
Watching: A Scanner Darkly; pretty much all the Lord of the Rings movies. That’s a lot of Hobbit-time right there.
Reading: The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
Wearing: Tank tops and these super-old, baggy bootcut jeans from Paper Denim + Cloth — I’m pretty much feeling a slouchy, falling-off-your-hips type of jean these days
Wanting: More hours in a day. And a way better Internet connection.

Listening: lotsa late-90s hip-hop, like EPMD and Wu-Tang Clan and Biggie, but mostly just 100.3 The Sound (aka Radio for Gen-Xers Who’ve Mellowed With Age). Right now they’re playing “Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)” by the Rolling Stones, and that’s just fine by me.
Watching: Moonstruck, which I now love so much more than when I was 9 and saw it in the theater with my mom. Also, Mermaids (it’s a Cher movie marathon, yay).
Reading: I started Francesca Lia Block’s new-ish book Quakeland, and then 36 hours later there was an earthquake, and now I’m scared to keep reading it. OMG I’M SO RATIONAL.
Wearing: the cheesiest faux-vintage Rolling Stones shirt ever, with a really pretty pale-purple & gauzy scarf plus the old standby of jeans + cowboy boots
Wanting: a new album-cover frame to replace the one that fell off my wall and shattered into many pieces during the earthquake! (It held Mary Timony’s The Golden Dove, in case you were wondering.)
    + Laura Jane
Listening: Chandler Bing (my new iPod!); The Blossom Toes, We Are Ever So Clean
Watching: The Truth About Cats and Dogs; The Font Conference (see below)
    Reading: nogoodforme.com
Wearing: $10 sparkly grey tank dress from Old Navy Kids
Wanting: Caudalie Grape Water, as championed by the almighty Liz Barker in our superlative this week; twenty billion things at Forever 21 and H&M; the Universe to explode (just kidding!)
    The infamous Font Conference video:

The “If You Wanna Be Happy” bit from Mermaids (and I can’t believe Christina Ricci was ever this charming):
