So soft-spoken, so handsomely pockmarked. This is the weirdest movie I’ve seen in a really long time, and I watched it twice last week. In my dream life, there’s no bonkers Stewart Copeland score and instead “Lost in the Flood” by Bruce Springsteen just plays throughout almost every scene. But it’s still a movie you should watch (instantly, on Netflix, now!), mostly because it’s so beautifully photographed. See?

Matt Dillon as Rusty James is my dream dude too. Diane Lane and Baby Sofia Coppola love to kiss him:

Diane Lane is so pretty:

And hey it’s Tom Waits!

I like this shot a lot cuz David Lee Roth’s in it:

And I like this shot cuz it’s proof that Mickey Rourke is the only man who can ever look dashing while wearing a short-sleeved v-neck sweater and sweating profusely with seriously questionable hair:

And I like all these shots cuz brothers are cool. “Brothers are cool” is absolutely the main takeaway from Rumble Fish. That’s good enough for me.

omg you are SO RIGHT. i can’t believe i didn’t notice that, given that i am occasionally in love with logan echolls.
LOL! Good picture. What impressed me was that you knew the name of the lead guitarist of The Go-Go’s!
